Henry H. Bletsoe & Son is an independent, professional firm of chartered surveyors, planning consultants, auctioneers and valuers. Founded in the 1870s, the firm has been serving the agricultural and rural community for many years and has a strong reputation in the region. Unlike many of our competitors, we are completely independent. The firm has been built on an underlying ethos of honesty and integrity and remains family run.
Based in Thrapston (Junction 13 of the A14), we are centrally located to provide a highly regarded, independent source of cost effective, practical and professional advice and services to a broad spectrum of clients primarily in Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire and Leicestershire. Our friendly and experienced team have a wealth of local knowledge.
Whilst our origins are closely linked with agriculture and livestock auctioneering, the firm has expanded over the years and developed expertise in planning and development, option agreements, diversification, telecommunication masts, minerals and commercial agency. We also maintain our reputation and expertise in agricultural matters, farm agency, property management, compulsory purchase and auctioneering. We are privileged to act for a wide range of clients including family-run farms, large farming businesses, trustees, charities, local authorities, estate owners and tenant farmers. We are proud of the number of clients whose family have been advised by us over many generations.
The majority of our team have direct links with the agricultural industry, either being brought up on family farms or farming in their own right. This involvement provides a sound practical experience of our clients’ requirements and circumstances which, with our professional expertise, enables us to provide advice that is practical, relevant and appropriate.
